"Ooh Boy" (sometimes known as "Ooh Male child (I Love You So)") is a song written by Norman Whitfield and originally recorded by Rose Royce for their 2nd album, In Full Bloom, and was the third single released from that album.

In 1995, the German Eurodance projection Real McCoy released a double A-sided single of "Sleeping with an Angel/Ooh Boy." Information technology was the fifth and concluding single release from the Another Night album. The single peaked at number #19 on the U.Southward Trip the light fantastic Chart.

  • "Sleeping with an Angel" was written by Baton Steinberg and produced by Billy Steinberg and Rick Nowels.
  • "Ooh Boy" was written past Norman Whitfield and produced by Douglas Carr, Per Adebratt, Tommy Ekman.

Critical reception [edit]

Dave Sholin from the Gavin Report wrote, "The Course of '96 were babies when Rose Royce charted with this song in 1978. The Real McCoy works their magic and makes information technology fresh again. Uptempo and definitely radio friendly."[5] Rachel Cohen from The Heights noted that it "is a fusion of techno with an almost Pop Rock, Paula Abdul audio. It takes the well used line, "Ooh Boy I dearest yous then, never ever gonna allow you go, in one case I go my hands on yous," and puts it in a make new context, and the novel ereation works well."[half dozen] People Magazine said that "grouping leader Olaf Jeglitza broods like a rapping cowpoke stuck in a tacky rhinestone-studded suit" on "Sleeping With An Angel".[vii]
